We are building the Nomis Data Network - the world's most insightful repository of consumer preferences and behaviors as they relate to financial products and pricing.

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Data Architect to own and drive this strategic and foundational initiative forward. The Data Architect will join our growing San Bruno, California based team.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the Product Manager & Architect for the Nomis Data Network (DN) and drive its roadmap, design and development
• Work with customers, partners, SMEs in Banking and Finance and Nomis R&D to identify, prioritize, prototype and visualize unique, high-opportunity data-driven "stories"
• Own and evolve the DN's logical schema, including both organic and partner-supplied entities
• Prioritize gaps in the data content and identify potential 3rd party data sources to fill those gaps
• Iteratively evolve a scalable, end-to-end data management framework including collection, validation, cleansing, matching, classification, normalization, storage and summarization
• Establish and enforce standards around data governance, privacy and security
• Work with Engineering to design and develop various components including ETL, partner API integration, warehousing, analytics and integration into Nomis' suite of solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrated experience defining and delivering data solutions to solve business problems
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics)
• Expert understanding and experience with data modeling, warehouse design and BI
• Strong business understanding and experience with Banking and Finance data (loan and deposit transactions, credit risk or credit bureau data, credit card and payment data)
• Good understanding of business KPIs in Banking and Finance
• Experience with MySQL and relational technologies, including expert SQL and scripting language (Perl, Python) skills
• Experience with BI / Analytics tools such as Pentaho or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in Data Modeling and Data Management
• 5+ years of experience in applications in Banking and Finance or Payments
• 3+ years of experience in BI / Analytics

• Experience with Cloud-based infrastructures such as Amazon EC2 and SimpleDB
