We are looking for a talented Solution Consultant to join our North American mortgage solutions practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Synthesize market and customer needs and convert them into solution specifications
  • Gather business requirements for decision support systems driven by data and analytics
  • Analyze and solve issues with vendor SAAS and/or managed service offerings as they relate to the integration and management of large financial services platforms
  • Deliver consulting projects and deliverables
  • Provide strategic and tactical pricing support to customers using model-based forecasting, simulation, and optimization tools & techniques
  • In collaboration with others, develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize data quality for KPI reporting
  • Interact with and present information to senior client stakeholders
  • Accumulate pricing-best practices for the mortgage industry practice
  • Consult with off-shore resources, contractors and partners
  • Provide sales support as requested

Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will hold a university degree in Business, Commerce, or equivalent, with a minimum of 7 years progressive strategic solutions sales or consulting experience within the Financial Services industry
  • Experience with analytical solutions is an asset
  • Proven track record of sales and account management experience working with senior management to oversee multi-million dollar solutions
  • A consultative solutions sales and relationship manager with extensive knowledge of the Canadian financial services industry and procurement cycle
  • An accomplished relationship management professional with excellent process orientation, planning, and project management experience
  • A strong relationship manager with exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster and develop relationships both internally and externally with key stakeholders and clients
  • Strong customer orientation with the ability to motivate clients and seek appropriate course of action to remove barriers such that company and client needs may be met
  • Self-motivated and action-oriented professional committed to execution and delivery possessing high standards of excellence
  • A team-oriented professional who encourages collaboration and has the ability to lead and motivate teams

Requirements:

  • 7 - 10 years professional experience
  • 3 - 6 years of experience with predictive analytics in financial services or a related industry
  • Knowledge of technology-driven, decision-support software applications
  • Ability to conduct detailed data analysis in SAS, R, SPSS, Python (Numpy/SciPy) or similar tool
  • Experience in analytic solution design, ideally in a hosted computing environment
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL/Oracle) and various reporting & BI tools such as Tableau, Toad, Excel (pivot tables), Cognos, Hyperion, etc.
  • Fluency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated initiative in an unstructured environment
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Willingness to travel
  • Attention to detail

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with business case analysis, proposal crafting and value measurement
  • Experience in the U.S. or Canadian mortgage industry
  • Ability to translate business requirements into software configuration or pseudo-code

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a numerate discipline (i.e. math, statistics, operations research, industrial engineering, computer science, etc.)
