Customer Operations Manager - San Bruno, CA

We are looking for a talented Customer Operations Manager to join our growing San Bruno, California based team.
Responsibilities:
As a member of Nomis Solutions' Professional Services team, the Customer Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the ongoing operational needs of customers who are utilizing Nomis' price optimization software solutions in a production environment.
The Customer Operations Manager will supervise a team of modeling analysts, implementation consultants and business consultants in handling the following types of tasks:
- Upgrade the product to the next maintenance release
- Monitor the performance of the predictive models within the product, performing model re-calibrations when necessary
- Maintaining and monitoring the data interfaces between the product and customer IT systems
- Assist Customer Support with issue diagnosis and resolution when necessary
- Provide end-user training and support to the customer
- Evaluate and execute product change requests as desired by the customer
The Customer Operations Manager will work closely with the Account Director in developing and managing post-implementation operations plans for customers as well as communicating progress on those plans to the customer and to company management. As such, this position requires superior customer interaction skills and the ability to engage in discussions related to Nomis products and best practices in front of customers and company management.
The Customer Operations Manager is based at Nomis headquarters in San Bruno, California (near San Francisco), but may require some travel and work on customer sites.
Required Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a quantitative field such as Math, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, etc.
- 7+ years experience configuring, installing and / or supporting enterprise applications
- 5+ years experience with SQL / Oracle databases
- 3+ years experience building and supporting ETL processes
- 3+ years managing implementation and / or support teams of enterprise applications
- Strong problem solving and issue diagnosis skills
- Ability to manage the technical aspects of customer relationships
- Ability to communicate business insights to customers
- Ability to communicate at the appropriate technical depth with Development, Services and Product Management as well as other internal and external audiences
- Ability to work in a high-energy start-up environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Java programming
- Experience using SAS to manage large data sets
- An understanding of statistical and financial models
