We are looking for an energetic, strategically-thinking human resources manager or director to report to the Director of Finance in our San Bruno, California headquarters.
In growing the company from its inception in 2004 until today, our team of business consultants, scientists, engineers, and sales & marketing professionals has been our biggest asset. We hire extremely well-qualified individuals with advanced degrees from the top schools in the US and UK. More than a third of our team have advanced degrees in technical fields such as mathematics, statistics, physics, operations research, etc. Our R&D and scientific underpinning of our solutions has resulted in multiple awards, patents, and significant profitability improvements for our clients. As we scale up the company from our current size of about 50 FTE, we need a more strategic focus on human resources management as an asset for the company rather than an administrative function. To that end, we are looking to bring on board an exceptional individual who can
- Work with the Director of Finance, CEO and the Executive Team to build and develop a high-performance organization, focusing on organizational development, recruiting and hiring, training, coaching, performance management, communication, leadership, and team building to drive business results.
- Become an employee advocate and work with individuals to establish and execute personal development plans, provide coaching and advice, and foster a motivating and happy work environment.
- Become a change agent across the organization. By consistently measuring the effectiveness of the organization in achieving results, the right candidate will be able to identify and champion change and help translate that need into the identification of the organizational mission, vision, values, goals and action plans.
- Both manage and look beyond the operational and administrative tasks of HR. We are looking for someone to take a strategic view of human resource management and help us build and maintain a high-performance organization.
Skills & Experience
- BS/BA degree required; MA in Human Resources preferred
- 5+ years of experience managing human resources in a high-growth, high compensation environment
- Successful track record in technology recruiting
- Excellent team player.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability and desire to deliver high-quality results on aggressive timelines.
- High level of personal accountability.
- Strong inter-personal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Experience in working with R&D teams, scientists, software development teams preferred.
